SUMMARY:Whodunnits
DESCRIPTION:WhoDunnits is a discussion group devoted to mysteries of all
kinds. The group explores a diverse array of subgenres\, geographic
locations\, and historical periods. Though occasionally members are
encouraged to share a mystery they've read (Free Reads)\, most months focus
on a single book read by the whole group. The WhoDunnits mystery book club
meets on the first Tuesday of the month. \n\nThis month's read: The Woman
Who Spoke to Spirits by Alys Clare\n\nLondon\, 1880. When accounts clerk
Ernest Stibbins approaches the World's End investigation bureau with wild
claims that his wife Albertina has been warned by her spirit guides that
someone is out to harm her\, the bureau's owner Lily Raynor and her new
employee Felix Wilbraham are initially sceptical. How are the two private
enquiry agents supposed to investigate threats from beyond the grave? But
after she attends a seance at the Stibbins family home\, Lily comes to
realize that Albertina is in terrible danger. And very soon so too is Lily
herself.\n\n"A marvelous addition to Clare's varied repertoire of
historical mysteries (The Angel in the Glass\, 2018\, etc.) introduces two
captivating new detectives and features a surprising denouement." -- Kirkus
Reviews\n\n"Set in London during the Victorian period\, Clare’s latest is
 engaging\, dark\, atmospheric\, and\, at times\, quite charming and
 humorous." -- Booklist
