Turning Pages: A Contemporary Book Group In-Person
Explore classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction from around the world. This group will sample critically acclaimed and prize-winning titles with open and inclusive discussion.
This month's read: This Fierce People, by Alan Pell Crawford. Our 2026 One Book One Community read tells the story of the British march from Charleston through the Southern colonies. Joined by American Loyalists and opposed mainly by American militias, the campaign took on a personal feeling as both sides forced people and communities to decide which side to support. Join us to talk about the book as part of the One Book One Community series supported by the Friends of the Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation. The author will be speaking at 7 pm on March 24 in the Library Theatre, and copies of the book will be available for signing.
