Novel Ideas In-Person

Explore classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction from around the world. This group will sample critically acclaimed and prize-winning titles with open and inclusive discussion.

This month's read: My Antonia, by Willa Cather. In this classic of American literature, Cather tells the story of a young man and woman on the plains of Nebraska. Jim Burden observes the life of Antonia Shimerda, the daughter of immigrants, whose energy and determination drive her to build her own place in a community suspicious of the newcomers.
