Throwback Thursday In-Person

The Throwback Thursday Film Series screens a variety of classic and contemporary movies for an adult audience. All films are shown in the Williamsburg Library Theatre.

June 25: A Man for All Seasons (1966)

A power struggle ensues between King Henry VIII and Chancellor Sir Thomas More when the king wants to defy Catholic church strictures by divorcing his first wife. This brilliantly written and acted film won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Actor. Robert Shaw, Paul Scofield, and Wendy Hiller star under the direction of Fred Zinnemann.
