Wild Side Talks: Giraffe In-Person

The Giraffe is the Earth’s tallest, terrestrial mammal.  It towers over all other animals in Africa and on Earth.  Giraffes are so tall, they can look into a second-story window without even having to stand on their tiptoes!  With super long necks, strange tongues and horns that aren't officially horns, Giraffes look more like aliens than African animals!  The Giraffe’s height and length of neck, along with the spots on its body, help it survive on the African savanna.  What does spaghetti, a golf ball and a dinner plate have to do with a Giraffe?  Find out as we take a walk on the wild side with Giraffes.

Presented by Pam Witt, former educator and guide at the San Francisco Zoo.
