Battle of the Books is a book-list-based quiz bowl competition that the Williamsburg Regional Library has sponsored for more than 30 years. Find out more about the Battle here. The competition is split into two divisions: Grades 4-5 and Grades 6-8, each with their own list of twelve books. Teams from local public and private schools, as well as homeschools, have been working hard all year in preparation for this event.

This local competition will be held at the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185, in order to accommodate the expected attendance. The older battle (Grades 6-8) will be held at 4 p.m. and the younger battle (Grades 4-5) will be held at 6 p.m.

The winning team from each division will go on to face teams from Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, and York County later in March to determine the regional Battle of the Books champion.
