Meeting at the visitor center in Freedom Park, second Friday of every month at 10 am. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as we will be walking one of the Freedom Park trails while we discuss the month’s book choice, Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. You can pick up a copy at the reference desk of either library.
Tova Sullivan works the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, keeping busy and trying to forget the death of her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, over thirty years ago. Curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium, wouldn't dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors--until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova. Add a young drifter searching for another resident of Sowell Bay, and a strange family is created. If only it isn't too late to matter.
We'll also be distributing copies of November's book, Dinosaurs at the Dinner Party.
