Through the Eyes of a Naturalist In-Person
Members of the Historic Rivers Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists’ display offers striking photographs that celebrate the beauty, curiosity, and constant motion of the natural world. These images invite viewers to pause and see nature as a Master Naturalist does—full of detail, wonder, and stories unfolding in every moment.
Taken while volunteering as community natural resource stewards, the photographs reflect the chapter’s deep engagement with local wildlife, native plants, and changing habitats. The Historic Rivers Chapter, based in Williamsburg, includes more than 180 trained volunteers who serve as educators, citizen scientists, and conservation partners throughout the region. This exhibit offers a glimpse into the world they help observe, protect, and celebrate.
