This month's read:This Fierce People, by Alan Pell Crawford. Most of the well-known battles of the American Revolution took place in the northern colonies. Crawford argues that the Southern battles fought from Charleston, South Carolina to Yorktown, Virginia, had a far greater impact than they've been credited with. Along the way, though, communities and even families were torn apart as people were forced to take sides. This is one of the programs in the 2026 One Book One Community series. See the library webpage for others. You can check out your copy at either library or from the bookmobiles. The author will join us at 7:00 pm March 24 in the Theatre at the Williamsburg Library.
