This month's read:Fonseca, by Jessica Francis Kane. Decades before her eventual success as a novelist, Penelope Fitzgerald journeys to Fonseca, Mexico to meet with purported friends of her family. Accompanied by her young son, she is hoping the meeting will gain her a legacy that will save her literary journal and her home life. Instead, she finds herself surrounded by others jockeying for the money and dancing to the whims of two old ladies and their ill-tempered housekeeper.
