Throwback Thursday: "Dreamgirls" (2006) In-Person

The Throwback Thursday Film Series screens a variety of classic and contemporary movies for an adult audience. All films are shown in the Williamsburg Library Theatre.

Feb. 19: Dreamgirls (2006)

Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, and Anika Noni Rose play the members of a ‘60s girl group striving for pop music success amidst personal and professional problems. Loosely based on the career of the Supremes, the film costars Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy. Both Murphy and Hudson were nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscars with Hudson winning the award. 2 hr., 10 min. (PG-13)
