This month's read: We Do Not Part, by Han Kang. Nobel Prize laureate Kang's short powerful novel is about friendship and memory. When Korean historian Kyungha travels to her friend Inseon's remote island home, she begins to visualize traumatic events that took place more than 75 years before and directly affected Inseon's family. The shadows cast by those events still hang over Korea today.
